Gabion Wall
Gabion walls that are built as a free standing structure are increasingly used in contemporary commercial, residential and infrastructure developments because of their strength, longevity and attractivity. These walls are built to withstand pedestrian forces, wind, and environmental exposures and can be installed as free-standing structures, or internally strengthened with steel posts in cases where the load is likely to be higher.
Why Choose Gabion Walls?
Why Choose Gabion Walls?
They are extensively applied in security screening, definition of boundaries, noise barriers, landscape features and architectural facades. Freestanding gabion walls are a sustainable solution that provides a combination of structural performance and aesthetic excellence with the appropriate choice of stones and optional planting
Good wind and impact structural stability.
Plastic design to use in functional and decorative purposes.
Natural stone construction that is sustainable to the environment.
Minimum maintenance and service life.

Gabion Box
Hitech knows the changing needs of the civil, architectural and infrastructure projects. We provide two types of engineered mesh: welded wire mesh and double-twisted hexagonal mesh in order to fulfill different design and performance requirements.
In the case of freestanding gabion walls, the welded wire mesh baskets are highly suggested as they are highly rigid, resistant to loads and can retain a clean and clear shape with time. The welded mesh panels are produced using 4 mm carbon steel wire and welded on all of its intersections, giving it a stable dimension and uniform distribution of load.
Reasons why welded mesh is used as freestanding walls:
Reasons why welded mesh is used as freestanding walls
Designs of panel connections differ but 20 mm spiral coils that have a 45 mm pitch are usually employed to hold the panels safely and ensure the integrity of the structure at all heights of the wall.
Has straight lines and sharp edges.
Increased deformation resistance and bulging.
Perfect in architectural and exposed designs.
Favors constant stone setting and finish.

Design Options
Design A
In the case of Commercial Projects (High Height and Large Width)
Design A is the best choice when a large scale or high rise gabion installation is desired and requires superior resistance to bending and stability.
A 300 x 300 mm ground hole is drilled to half the height of the wall to which a Schedule 40 circular pipe ( 0 73 mm, 5.1 mm thick) is fitted. The pipe is concreted to ensure maximum anchorage. Gabion sizes are carefully cut so that they slide over the pipe forming an interlacing system. Other support wires are used to further hold the mesh panels.
Design B
In case of Residential Projects (Low Height and Slim Width).
Design B is more affordable and a more attractive design that will be used in residential use and medium height walls.
A square-shaped pipe of custom size is welded to a base plate of durable 10 mm that is attached to the concrete foundation. The post length is covered with a 50 x 50 mm flat metal clip that is used to secure the front and rear welded mesh panels in place. The side panels of the basket are eliminated and this makes the material less expensive with no performance loss.
Design C
Multi-purpose Channel-Supported System.
This design involves U-shaped steel channels that are welded on a 10 mm bottom plate and fixed by means of bolts. The gabion box just fits into the channels and this makes it easy and efficient to install.
professionals complete the installation.
Best suited for:
Walls to 3 meters in height and 300 mm in width
Pathways, building perimeters and cladding use.
Projects that need to be installed quickly and easily.
