Wire Diameter

The mesh wire is 2.0 mm to 3.9 mm in diameter and the selvedge wires are stronger (between 2.4 mm and 4.9 mm) to reinforce the edges of the gabion structure. The selvedge wire also makes it more durable, and increases rigidity and it does not deform in filling and installation. The combinations of these wires provide stability in the long run by resisting the environmental stresses and loading conditions.
